The Print Block Christmas Pop Up

Our Christmas Pop Up all set up and ready to go!
This year we held our annual Christmas sale at The
Goldfinch Gallery on Sea Wall, Whitstable. Spread
out over two floors there was lots of room for 
lovely diverse mix of prints, textiles, gifts and 
homewares. As always a huge thank you to all our 
supportive customers and our creative members and 
editioning clients who contribute in making this 
sale such a success!

The Print Block Christmas Pop Up

This week we will be bringing our much loved
Pop-Up sale back to Whitstable in a fabulous 
new venue! Goldfinch Gallery is located near 
to the harbour entrance and the end of Harbour 
Street. Set over 2 floors we will be showcasing 
textiles, prints and screen printed gifts by our 
talented artists and makers. Pop along to browse 
the new things they've all been working on.

Editioning for Sophie Herxheimer

A beautiful new publication of poetry has arrived in 
the post by visual artist & poet Sophie Herxheimer 
and poet Chris McCabe. Suki hand printed the 'river' 
inserts for the special editions of 'The Practical 

Editioning for Paul Bommer

Lovely to have Paul Bommer back in the studio 
for a days proofing at the new studio. The
'Tattooed Scotsman' is a brand new print and
available to buy direct from his Big Cartel shop.

Editioning for Mychael Barratt

Continuing his series of artists dogs, London based 
printmaker Mychael Barratt was back in the studio 
proofing his new print Banksy's Dog.

Freya Noelle Faulkner

Lots of gorgeous textile designs being printed at the 
studio this week by Kent based screen printer/paper 
cutter and maker Freya Faulkner.

Editioning for Mary Claire Smith

Suki has been busy proofing with artist Mary Claire 
Smith on this beautiful new print 'Migrants'. Hand 
drawn and collaged stencils were used to create this 
large 3 colour screen print on 40gsm washi paper and
are available to buy direct from Frank in Whitstable.

Print Block Workshop

Last Saturday a hardworking group of women spent the 
day screen printing for the very first time. Here is 
a selection of what they achieved throughout the day 
using a variety of different techniques. Well done 
everyone, lovely work!

The Masters Screen and Stone

The Print Block was very proud to select this lithograph
'The Grandchild' by Anita Klein as the winner of the 
Print Block Editioning Prize at this years The Masters 
Screen and Stone at London's Bankside gallery. Suki is 
very excited to be working on this prize in the coming

Editioning for Alice Pattullo

Lovely to have Alice Pattullo in our new studio for 
a days printing last week. This brand new screen 
print is heading for 'A is for Art' at the Lotte 
Inch Gallery in York where there will be a different 
artist producing work for each 'letter' in the alphabet.

Ruth Dent

Celebrating a centenary of votes for
women in the UK, Print Block member Ruth 
Dent completed her lovely 2x colour
screen print in the traditional colours 
of the Suffragette movement. Her design
was then used to create a series of hand
printed silk scarves available to buy 
direct from her website

The Margate Illustration & Print Fair

The Print Block showing off its wares at the recent

A brilliant weekend for meeting so many creative and 
inspiring people and for sharing the love of all things
printed! Also taking part were print block members 
Caroline Hoy and Karen Radford.

Artists Open Houses

For the first time The Print Block took part in 
Artists Open Houses at our new location in Monks 
Hill Farm. We had three busy weekends with lots 
of new faces and enquires about workshops and our
editioning service, so a big thank you to everyone 
who came up to see us, admire our view and say hello!
