All set up and ready to go! This weekend The Print
Block held its annual Christmas Pop Up at Kent and
London's beautiful furniture showroom on the beach
in Whitstable. A big thank you to all our supporters
both local and beyond in making this event another
great success. Thank you for having us Kent and London!

Once again we are fortunate to be
given the opportunity to host our
Christmas Pop Up at the beautiful
'Kent & London' furniture showroom
on the beach in Whitstable.
(next to Keams Yard) We will be
showing a selection of beautiful
handprinted, handmade textiles,
homewares, gifts, cards, editioned
screen prints by our members and
editioning clients including Alice
Pattullo, Sophie Herxheimer, Julia
Mckenzie, Robert Clarke and Paul
Bommer and many more. Doors open

To run alongside the publication of Sophie Herxheimer's
beautiful new book of poetry 'Velcom to Inklandt' she
has produced a series of paper cut-out images for Suki
to edition as a series of small screen prints. These are
now available to buy direct from the Print Block online
shop or from our Christmas Pop Up at Kent & London
in Whitstable this coming weekend 2nd & 3rd Dec 10 - 5pm
or direct from the artist.
A sneak preview of this beautiful new book by the
amazingly talented Sophie Herxheimer. Reviewed in
the Observer Arts as 'Poetry Book of the Month'.
Sophie is a London based writer, poet and visual
artist and we are proud to work with her.
A new screen print for Autumn by the
London based artist/printmaker Julia
Mckenzie. This beautiful image is from
one of Julia's intricate paper cut-outs
editioned by Suki at the Print Block.
Another beautiful new screen print editioned by Suki
by London based artist Mychael Barratt. Based on the
famous japanese screen print 'The Great Wave' by
Katsushika Hokusai, Mychael reinvents this iconic
image continuing his series on artists dogs and
sometimes cats!
This beautiful new book by Sophie Herxheimer was
reviewed in the Observer Arts last Sunday as 'Poetry
Book of the Month'. Well deserved we think. Sophie
is amazingly talented both as a writer and a visual
artist and we are super proud to work with her.
'C.S Lewis in St.Mary's Passage' and 'The Jericho
Cat' are two new screen prints by London based
artist/printmaker Mychael Barratt editioned this
week at the studio.
New editioning client Ed Kluz
is a painter, illustrator and
printmaker whose work explores
our relationship with the past
through notions of English
Romanticism. This new screen
print was editioned by Suki at
the print block studio.
Sophie Herxheimer moves between poetry, painting,
drawing and print. This new screen print editioned
by Suki is part of a series of prints to accompany
her new book Velcom to Inklandt.
Julie Cockburns beautiful screenprinted
image by Suki is finally installed at
Flowers, Cork street. A very proud moment
for The Print Block and such a beautiful
and inspiring show.
Editioning 'Hockney's Dog' for London based client
Mychael Barratt. Mychael is an artist/printmaker who
is working with Suki on a number of new screenprinted
projects.
These are images of a huge screen printed
project that Suki recently worked on with
the brilliant Julie Cockburn. Julie is a
London based artist known for her intricate
embroideries on old studio photographs.
This departure into screen printing was for
her show at Flowers Gallery, Cork Street
London.
Jack Pittard booked the studio to produce a huge
quantity of printed textile designs for the fashion
industry.
Another super busy weekend for our third Pop Up at
Kent and London's beautiful showroom on the beach.
Thanking everyone that contributed in making it such
a brilliant success, to all our customers, lovely
members and supporters both local and further afield.
On Sunday the studio was booked by Doug
and Yvonne Mackay who worked together to
create this lovely 3 x colour screen print.
Its our Summer Pop Up Print sale held at Kent & London
at their Whitstable Showroom in the Boatshed on the
beach. There will be a large selection of original
screenprints by our members and editioning clients
and a range of beautiful hand printed textiles,
gifts and cards. All welcome, credit cards accepted.

Nice to see some new faces in the studio and some
familiar ones revisiting us for our workshop on Sunday.

We got there! The Print Block at the opening of Alice
Pattullo's 'Of House and Home' at the Yorkshire
Sculpture Park, in Wakefield. Standing in front of
Alice's quilt installation, the last printing project
for this brilliant show of talent, imagination and
sheer hard work. Well done girls!
