Hang Me Up
For this weeks Hang Me Up we have chosen this impressive
4 colour screen print by Faversham based artist Magz
Roberts. Magz has just completed one of our 5 week screen printing courses at The Print Block and this is her very
first screen print using the photographic stencil process.

The Gallery Norfolk
Suki's editioning artists Julia McKenzie & Paul Bommer and
print block member Karen Radford are participating in 'New
Views on Norfolk II' an exhibition at The Gallery Norfolk
showing new art inspired by Norfolk seascapes and landscapes. This show runs from 12th July to 2nd August at 3, Church
Street, Cromer. Opening times 10-5pm Mon-Sat.
One To One
Haythornthwaite booked the studio at the
weekend for some technical support days
with Karen. The first print was originally
a large lino cut of Rochester Cathedral
printed on Japanese paper which we managed
to expose and transfer into a photo stencil
image. The second print is the 3rd in a
series of 'Three Belles', the 1st one
printed at the studio was 'Flying Issac',
the 2nd' Sly Kate' and now we have the 3rd
'Mary Stackpole' riding a carousel horse
in Gillingham.

Don Eachells at The Pie Factory
Today the Print Block visited Don Eachell's impressive retrospective show 'Reflect...Deflect' at the Pie
Factory, 5 Broad Street in Margate. Suki recently
editioned a series of 27 screen prints for Don at The
Print Block which are shown here. Alongside a room of
beautiful black etchings were a series of paintings and photographs. This show runs until July 2nd and is open
daily from 10-6pm.

Editioning for Julia McKenzie
More editioning for Suki this week for London based
artist Julia McKenzie. This popular print 'River 111'
will be available at the 'Urban Art Fair' in July on
Sat 12th & Sun 13th from 10-6pm. The Urban Art Fair
is in its 15th year and run by the residents of South
London's Josephine Avenue with over 200 exhibitors.
This is a great opportunity to buy work direct from
the artists and discover a wealth of creative skills
including street-art, painting, printmaking,
photography and mixed media
